JAKARTA - Film terbaru yang diperankan oleh Benedict Cumberbatch “The Power of the Dog” berhasil memimpin 94th Academy Award 2022 dengan perolehan nominasi terbanyak, yakni 12 nominasi. Film "Dune" menyusul dengan 10 nominasi, serta film remake West Side Story Steven Spielberg dan refleksi hitam-putih Kenneth Branagh tentang masa kecilnya di Irlandia, Belfast, masing-masing mendapatkan 7 nominasi.

Dikategori musik ada Beyoncé yang mendapatkan nominasi pertamanya dalam kategori Lagu Asli Terbaik untuk "Be Alive," dari King Richard. Dalam kategori yang sama, Billie Eilish dan saudara laki-laki/mitra kreatifnya Finneas masing-masing mendapatkan nominasi pertama mereka juga untuk " No Time to Die " dari film James Bond dengan nama yang sama.

Penghargaan ini juga merupakan nominasi Oscar pertama untuk Kristen Stewart, yang memerankan karakter Putri Diana Princess of Wales dalam film dokumenter Spencer.

Acara penghargaan terbesar ini direncanakan akan dimulai pada tanggal 27 Maret 2022 nanti.
